Transport yourself back half a million years, when lions and hippos roamed Trafalgar Square, relive the Viking invasions, Roman conquests, and the glamour, grandeur, sleaze and disease of the medieval capital.

Breaking into the Museum
Watch a series of short films made by 15 young Londoners who were given special access to 'break into' parts of the Museum usually closed to the public. The films produced investigate the objects and experiences these young people encountered behind the scenes at the Museum of London.

Gladiatorial poetry slam
Museum of London youth panel Junction present a gladiatorial poetry slam between some of the city's most exciting young poets in the Roman galleries. An evening of poetry performance including readings from competition winners who were given the challenge of exploring the influence of Latin and Roman culture on the language and environment of modern day London.
